ACCESS BY SHINKANSEN TRAIN

Tokyo to Nozawa Onsen by Train: – Approximately 2 hours to Iiyama (pronounced ‘e-yama’) station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train. It is ¥8,580 per passenger for reserved seats. From Iiyama station, take the 25-minute connecting Nozawa Onsen Liner bus to Nozawa Onsen Chuo Bus Terminal. Tickets can be purchased from the vending machine at the bus stop. Cash only. ¥600 adult and ¥300 child.

We provide a complimentary collection service from the Nozawa Onsen Chuo Bus Terminal. Please advise your arrival time at the time of booking.
Note, unless you are booking through a travel agent, JR train tickets cannot be prepurchased online. You can make reservations, but you must physically collect your tickets from a JR station office. Purchasing tickets on the day of travel is easy outside of peak holiday (New Year) periods.
SCHEDULED AIRPORT BUS TRANSFERS
Visit Nagano Snow Shuttle to book scheduled bus services from Narita or Haneda airports to Nozawa Onsen. Allow 6 hours travel time.
PRIVATE AIRPORT TRANSFERS
We can arrange door to door transfers from either airports direct to The Ridge Nozawa Onsen (mini van up to 7 passengers with luggage):

TO NOZAWA BY CAR
Narita Airport: 5.5 hours Tokyo: 4.5 hours Nagoya: 5 hours Osaka / Kyoto: 7 hours.
Please note, there is no parking available at the property. If arriving by car, you can pull in front of the main entrance to unload. The nearest overnight parking is #2 Karasawa Public Carpark. It is ¥1500 for the first night, then ¥1000 for each consecutive night payable in cash directly to the parking booth attendant. Overnight parking is not available in the Sparena carpark opposite The Ridge.
